We are a registered charity dedicated to supporting Leeds’ rich heritage by assisting and promoting the work of Leeds’ Museums.
We not only provide and help raise funds to finance new acquisitions (new objects and collections) and carry out much needed conservation work for Leeds, but we also provide support through a network of active and dedicated volunteer members. Find out more about projects we have supported.
The Friends give grants to Leeds Museums every year, raised through subscriptions, events and outings, and donations. The money donated has also been instrumental in levering much larger sums of external funding from funding bodies like the Art Fund and the Heritage Lottery Fund for acquisitions (purchases) and development. As a Registered Charity, the Friends are able to act as a channel for substantial donations towards major purchases like the West Yorkshire Hoard and exhibitions.

Your details are known only to the FLCM Secretary FLCM Treasurer and FLCM Membership Secretary, and are kept secure. On no account will your names, addresses and personal details be given to any other organisation. If you discontinue membership of the FLCM your details will be deleted.
